So how are you dealing with the heat over US this summer? (The weather in Scandinavia has been colder and wetter than usual this summer)

We have the opposite, hot and dry.  Very significant drought issues in the US central and western states.  A fair amount of rain on the east coast though with some wild storms.

February 1, was 72 degrees f.
March and April, a mix but numerous 70s and 80s.
May, mostly in the 80s but a couple of 90s.
June, 11 days in the 90s and one at 104.
July-Aug, 7 days in the 100+ (105 reached) otherwise in the high 80s and 90s.

In all, we are 10-20 degrees higher than the averages.  A few nights I went to bed at 4am and it was still 85 degrees.

Basically a hot year.  Maybe next year will be cooler.

I hear the 'Pineapple Express' is running and giveng the West Coast some much longed for rain. Are you getting any rain, Sir Osis?

Um, we've gotten a little rain, but rainfall amounts in California are way down, reservoirs are at something like 30% of normal... Snowpack is at a similarly low number.... Hopefully we get a miracle April, but barring that we're in serious drought conditions out this way... Heck, I would guess between September 1 and March 1 we may have had 7-10 total days where the high temperature didn't hit at least 75 F/24 C.
