Title: End of Summer Membership Drive

Howdy everyone... I don't know about y'all, but I think Daniel has done built a pretty damn good game site here for us all to play in, and with more improvements and games in the future, I think about the only things we're missing is (1) more time with which to play these games and (2) more people with whom to play these games...

In that vein, I would like to sponsor a bit of a membership drive. If those of us here can recruit just one other person to swing by here and spend a handful of minutes playing here, we'll double the number of people here and make the site more enjoyable. And, maybe along the way, we'll get some sourpusses like Cugel to join us over here...

If we can get at least five new people here by the end of August, people who like the games and want to stick around for awhile, I'll pay for a yearlong premium subscription for each of them (um, offer only valid for the first five players new to sgamers, offer not valid on Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn).

Anybody up for it?

Along the way, we may have to do some handholding to help whatever new players we do get here understand the mechanics and gameplay, and it would probably be useful to have at least one open game at all times for people to join, but I think for the people interested in this type of game, once we get 'em here, they'll probably stick around.

I will do too.  This is a good game.  But I would like to lose less.

Hey All, I got some new guys to join from my office.  You should see them pop up soon and, when they do, give them a hard time.   ;D

some sites i play at will ban you for recruiting people  but i will spread the word around, i want competitors just as bad as you do

I won't ban for recruiting.  I encourage it.   In fact, when the site begins charging, you can earn game time credit with the referral system.  Just don't recruit buttheads, we don't want this to become like every other site.  Good games + good sports = good fun.

what i mean is if i get people to come to this site they would come from some other site, ofcourse you wouldn't mind but the place they came from would =) anyways i got some places that i can hit up

Thanks for your support.  We added a few more good players to the site and it's nice to be able to have fairly regular and appreciable size games.
